Bringing a community together to support Ella's recovery
Dramatic medical intervention saved her life but left her paralyzed on the left side of her body. Even though the recovery journey has been long and hard, Ella has made remarkable progress:
In her first year of recovery, she regained gross motor function and the ability to walk.
In her second year, she regained the ability to shower independently and carry on conversations.
In her third year, she regained sensation in her left arm, lower back, and fingers.
The prospects for further healing and recovery are very good. But to continue on that journey, she needs our help and support.
Ella's family is dedicated to supporting her during this challenging time, but resources - time and money - have become strained as the years have progressed. They need their community to step forward and lend a hand.
Ella needs her community's help with transportation to/from medical appointments, and to spend quality time with her.
